Assistant General Manager - Boston, MA

Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 DOE
About the role:
We're a people-first, fast-casual brand that opened in downtown Boston five months ago — combining two cultural icons between the Western world and the eastern world. We're building a brand to last, one that invests in its people and grows its leaders from within. We're looking for an AGM to help lead and build our team. Not a shift-runner, but a true leader the team looks up to, who develops the people under them and wants to grow with us as we open more locations.
What you'll do:
- Lead daily restaurant operations alongside the founder, owning the floor during your shifts
- Hire, train, and develop team members, building the next generation of leaders from within
- Coach and hold the team to a high standard of hospitality, quality, and consistency
- Manage scheduling, labor, and day-to-day cost control (food cost, waste, ordering)
- Uphold and strengthen the culture: a positive, hardworking, guest-obsessed environment
- Help build and document the operating systems that support future growth
- Step in wherever needed — this is a young brand, and everyone wears multiple hats
What we're looking for:
Leadership is the #1 requirement. Above all, someone the team genuinely respects and wants to follow — a leader who develops people, not just manages them.
- Restaurant leadership experience: an AGM, GM, or a strong shift/department manager ready to step up. Title matters less than proven ability to lead. Fast-casual or QSR preferred
- A track record of developing people — ideally someone who can point to specific people they've trained, coached, or grown
- Hospitality-first mindset: genuinely cares about the guest experience
- Strong character: honest, humble, hardworking, high integrity, a real team player
- Tenacious and energetic, thrives in a fast-paced, build-it-as-you-go environment
- Coachable, with the maturity to take direction and the backbone to share a better idea
- Wants to grow into a multi-unit / operator role as the brand scales
